Dopamine Rush lemon sherbet

2026 · 50cm / 19.7in diameter

Pre-loved toys, acrylic paint, resin and laser cut acrylic on wood, 50cm diameter

Dopamine Rush transforms preloved toys into an unapologetic smile, a universal representation of the little fleeting moments of happiness small toys gave us as kids and perhaps still as adults, from opening a kinder egg, to a birthday party bag or a souvenir from a holiday. It's not about remembering the big moments from childhood, but the spirit of it, through the accumulation of small innocent moments we tend to forget with time. Painting everything in one colour turns the familiar objects into texture, while little fragments of childhood can still be discovered beneath the surface.
