Coeur d'enfant

2026 · 100cm x 80cm

Foil balloon filled with recycled plastic, acrylic paint on stretched canvas

Coeur d'enfant in French means "childlike Heart" and takes its name from the words painted into the piece: “Garder son cœur d’enfant”, French for “Keep your childlike heart.” A little girl holds onto an oversized foil heart balloon, filled with recycled plastic and paper, as if holding onto that playful part of herself. Around her, layers of colourful, happy graffiti represent the noise, energy and colours of life. At its heart is a simple reminder: growing up doesn’t have to mean letting go of the child within.
