Sugar Rush

2026 · 60cm x 60cm + frame

recycled toys, resin, laser cut acrylic panel, canvas

Pick ’n’ Mix Part of the Happy Dais’ collection, Sugar Rush plays with that childhood pull towards toys, sweets and anything colourful. The petals are filled with a mix of familiar toys, all painted white so they become more about shape and memory than the objects themselves. I wanted the frame to feel almost edible, so I covered it in tiny painted dots, somewhere between sprinkles, sweets and confetti. There’s a sense of abundance and sugar rush, but the white-on-white toys keep it deliberately understated. A quieter kind of excess, with a smiley face.
