Dopamine Rush Berry slush

2026 · 33cm / 13in diameter

preloved toys, laser cut acrylic, resin, acrylic paint, canvas, wooden frame

Part of the Dopamine Rush series, Berry Slush transforms a mix of preloved childhood toys into a small smiley, united by a single hit of purple, inspired by childhood sweets Berry slush. Painting everything in one colour turns the familiar objects into texture, while little fragments of childhood can still be discovered beneath the surface. This piece brings together a happy nostalgia of these little fleeting moment of joy small toys would give us, from opening a kinder egg, to a birthday party bag or a souvenir from a holiday. It's not about the big moment but the accumulation of small joys we tend to forget.
